Blackjack Games

Blackjack is a great game, however, from time to time any game can benefit from being spiced up a little. Just look at all the poker variations that are out there, invented pretty much by typical home players looking for a different way to lose next week’s alcohol money to their scheming friends. And while you might not find these available for play at your local neighborhood casino, blackjack online offers it’s fair share of “variations”, as well. Some are a different way to play, and some simply piggyback on the standard rules of play, elaborating with opportunities to bet on something outside your cards alone. Let’s take a look at some, call them what you like.

- Here’s a side bet option. The player gains the ability to wager the first two cards in his hand will be of the same suit. Odds are 3:1 on the payout. If the lucky player makes this wager and the King and Queen, or Queen and Jack come up of the same suit, the odds are 10:1 and 8:1 on the payouts.

- Staying with the suit bets, instead of waging on your cards, this one allows you to gamble online as to whether the dealers’ up card will be red or black…you can put your bet in the corresponding R or B area. Odds are just a one to one return, and the dealer takes an automatic win if his up card is a deuce.

- Spanish 21 (This one does have an official name) – Up to eight decks used, but no fewer than six. The strategy requires adjusting because 10’s are eliminated from the deck (increasing the difficulty for the player). Other basic changes (ones that actually do benefit the player): Getting 21 is a guaranteed winner (no ties with dealer), and blackjack is a guaranteed winner. Other general rules apply regarding doubling, splitting, surrendering, hitting, etc… Now for the extras: Suited bet odds pay two to one. If that suit is spades, the payout is three to one, and, get this, if you have three sevens against the dealer’s seven up card, you’re cashing in a cool grand.

- Lastly (for now), a straight switch game from golden casino. We used to do this playing home games of Caribbean Stud, but it definitely works well for online blackjack. Each player gets two hands to work with, same bet for each. Everything remains separated except the second dealt card, which you can switch between hands. However, the dealer won’t give up this advantage without implementing one of his own. So, if you think the dealer’s busted on this one, be careful. A dealer 22 is actually going to push, no matter what you end up with.

Roulette Tips

Much like internet blackjack, Roulette is a casino game which is played around the world with slightly different rule changes depending on where you play the game. The biggest rule change in some roulette games is that there will be two zero’s on the wheel instead of one. When there is two zero’s on the wheel it gives the house an advantage over the players so always look for a roulette wheel with only one zero as it limits the house edge. Today we’re going to look at some simple roulette tips which will help new players learn the game.

* Roulette is solely based on luck and you can’t really adapt any strategies or systems which will help you out in the long run. You need to be able to get lucky first and then you need to know when it’s time to walk away from the roulette wheel. If you can’t walk away from the table when you’re up money then you’re most likely going to give it all back plus more which is something you don’t want to do every time you play the game.

* If you’re only betting on single numbers to try and win big then you should make sure you switch up your numbers based on the previous numbers that have been spun. If you always choose the same numbers you might win a couple spins, but you’re not going to make money over the long run of playing.

* I would suggest placing bets on the bets where you have almost a 50% chance of winning. The payout is only 1:1 which isn’t that great, but you have almost a 50% chance of winning these bets which is pretty high and limits the amount of luck you’ll need. The most common bets in this category are red, black, even, odd, 1-18 and 19-36.

* Don’t be fooled by any online casino roulette betting systems out there because for the most part they will only lose you money and cost you money for the system which is a lose-lose. If you want to read the system for your own understanding of it then go for it, but don’t live by the system to make you money if it isn’t. A lot of so called roulette systems out there have been put together by amateur players who have no clue about the game.

* Some roulette wheels have been noted to have heavy sides where the number is more likely to appear. Nowadays it’s difficult to find wheels like this because of technology, but it’s known that in Europe you can still find older roulette wheels where the gravity is pulled to one side of the table thus limiting the ability for the number to land on one side of the wheel. If you manage to find a wheel like this then stick around and play it out to see if you can leave with a profit.
